For our apple-picking event, we had cool weather (50 degrees), blue skies, and warm hearts.  Mother-daughters came in twos and threes to meet at the red barn of Larriland Farms in Woodbine, MD.  We got to know each other over lunch alongside the farm animals and took in the beautiful view of the lake, fields, and fall foliage.

Next was the hayride where we chatted away along a tree-lined path which opened up to colorful patches of farmland lined with hills in the distance.

Then we headed to the apple orchards. We meandered down the aisles picking Pink Ladies – the only apple left on this last day of the picking season, but luckily a rosy, crisp and tart one that we all liked.
