Meet my mom, Mayra.

My mom is a lot different from moms that I’ve met. She doesn’t try to be perfect and will correct me when I’m wrong. Her face and smile puts a smile on my face because I see a lot of myself in her. In my eyes she’s my hero, my role model, my queen, my best friend. One thing that I love about my mom is that she doesn’t always have the best advice, but she’s aware of that and tries to help me out with anything as much as she can. She’s taught me how to love myself, how to love others, and how to be a strong woman.

What I admire most about her is…

Her mental strength and her funny, easy-to-get-along-with personality, and she puts others first.

My favorite thing to do with her is…

Shop, eat, talk, and watch tv/movies.

Ways we are most similar…

Both have independent personalities, outspoken, funny and likable.

Ways we are most different…

Our different views on change and being adventurous. Our time eras are different, so I’m okay with being on the go but my mom has to have a plan.

I think our mother-daughter relationship is so special because…

My father passed when I was little so my mom has always been both parents. She’s always been there for me and has supported me. She is my only parent and that made our bond a lot stronger growing up. We’ve been through a lot with each other and individually, and no matter what decisions I’ve made or circumstances (good or bad) that we’ve been through, she’s always has my back and has loved me unconditionally.

Meet my daughter, Celina.

I would like to introduce to you my daughter Celina. She is currently in college studying Chemistry and Forensic Sciences. She is a caring, funny, loving and dependable young woman. She loves to travel and is always ready for an adventure.

What I admire most about her…

What I admire most about my daughter is her honesty, determination, kindness and mature attitude.

My favorite thing to do with her…

My favorite thing to do with my daughter is to just spend time with her whether it’s watching TV, talking or not saying anything at all. I just love being in the same room with her.

Ways we are most similar …

We both are family oriented, independent and hard working.

Ways we are most different…

The difference between my daughter and I is that she’s very determined, not afraid of change, adventurous and loves to travel.

I think our mother-daughter relationship is so special because…

What makes our mother-daughter bond special is the mutual respect that we have for one another. The respect that we have for each other allows us to be open and honest in our relationship, not just as mother and daughter but also as friends.
